Aniol: “A Distinctly Christian Culture”

An outstanding article: “A Distinctly Christian Culture” by Scott Aniol.  If I could summarize:

The common evangelical view of culture and music as neutral is incorrect.  All cultures are informed by both common grace and human depravity, so the expressions of any culture must be judged as to their correspondence to the truth of God revealed in Scripture, and the forms of communication of any culture (such as music) must be judged as to their suitability for the worship of God.  “So is there a distinctly Christian culture? Is there a distinctly Christian music? Yes, there is—it is culture and music that expresses Christian values.”
