A New Song for an Old World: Musical Thought in the Early Church (Calvin Institute of Christian Worship Liturgical Studies)Brian Collins has posted a good summary of Calvin Stapert’s A New Song for an Old World: Musical Thought in the Early Church.  This is an excellent work, well worth reading, but if you can’t take the time to read the book, at least take five minutes to read Brian’s summary, which gives the pith of Stapert’s work.  The sea-breeze will do you good.
